Important Update regarding ShivaRatri - ACTION REQUIRED

Hari OM.

I have stated during our last session that we will not be performing during the Shivaratri celebration.

I stand corrected.

There were some changes made to the line up of the items for the celebrations
and
Swamiji requested that the Adult Bhajan Group perform this shivaratri which falls on the Sunday of the long weekend. ( 19 Feb 2011)

We are not sure of the timings yet. There are two tentative slots.

• In the middle of the Puja
• At the end of the Puja, after the Swaranjali Teams' performance.

Since Monday is a holiday for most, I hope it is practical for most of us as well.
I have no doubts about the enthusiasm, though :-)

Please let us know of your availability.

The current list of songs to be performed are as follows:

1. Bhajan #19 - Maatanga Vadana
2. Bhajan #14 : Sarade Jaya Sarade
3. Bhajan #15 : Hari OM Hari OM Hari OM (GURU STOTRAM)
4. Bhajan #7 - Shankara Sada Shiva
5. Bhajan # 22: Dayakaro Shiva Gangadhari
6. Bhajan #21 - Sankara Chandrasekhara
7. Bhajan #9 - Om Namah Shivaya (with additions)

These are the ones that we already have practiced.

We have a couple of suggestions for new songs from the group as well. Based on the time we have, and the complexity of the songs, we will finalise the list of songs with additions.

If you have any further suggestions, please do forward them for consideration.
